USC alum and TrojanWire favorite Will Ferrell has a new sunscreen line for charity. 100% of the proceeds of all Will Ferrell sunscreen products will go to the Cancer for College charity.

Cancer for College awards scholarships to current and former cancer patients who are currently attending either a four year accredited university, junior college and/or graduate school.

Scholarships applicants must already be accepted to a university and/or attending a junior college. Scholarship amounts vary, ranging from $250 one time scholarships to four year perpetual scholarships of larger dollar amounts.

A sunscreen that continues to work years after applying. Slap some on today!

Cream of the Corp

Saturday's scrimmage moved one step closer towards ending the quarterback controversy and crowning Aaron Corp as heir to the Trojan kingdom. Corp had a (mostly) error-free day, leading three scoring drives and landing 13-of-18 passes for 170 yards. Barkley got a couple of good drives, one blemish aside. He went 15 of 18 for 186 yards and a TD, but a poor decision cost him a pick-six at the hands of defensive end Malik Jackson. Mustain struggled again, only 3-of-6 for 33 yards, but managed to get in one impressive TD drive.

Headlinin': Finally, a Corp we can rally around

• Suddenly, everything's coming up A.C. After some inevitable early love for true freshman golden boy Matt Barkley, the tide has turned in Southern Cal's hyped quarterback derby -- at least in the press: Every SoCal outlet leads today with praise for Aaron Corp's performance Thursday, with the L.A. Times detailing the sophomore's impressive scrambling ability and both the Orange County Register and L.A. Daily News all but anointing young Aaron the starter just three practices in; Scott Wolf's prestigious Euro rankings score Corp well ahead of Barkley and Mitch Mustain. Quoth Pete Carroll: "He's looked very strong so far. He's the farthest along with the system." Impressive, for a QB with a detachable head.

Carroll was less enthusiastic about Barkley after an interception in passing shells: "(Barkley) had a rough time in the 7-on-7 (pass drills).'' Pete consoled himself by smoking reporters in a foot race to his office, where he spent the rest of the day starting a ghost story blog with defensive coordinator Rocky Seto and Tweeting Jimmy Fallon about Will Ferrell.

• Instant impact. Neither Bryce Brown nor David Oku is on campus yet, but both of Tennessee's post-signing day recruiting coups are making their presence felt in the Vol backfield this spring: Lennon Creer, a highly touted recruit his own self two years ago, saw the writing on the wall and will "go in a different direction" rather than battle with the incoming freshmen. There may be more to the decision than potential playing time -- as Creer was one of the brighter spots in last year's backfield rotation at 5.3 yards per carry, he'd seem to have more than a fighting chance at at least maintaining his share of the work -- but until Brown and Oku arrive, UT will be alarmingly thin: Of the three backs remaining on the spring roster, only Montario Hardesty figures to get any significant carries in the fall.

In other notable transfer news: Jason Hannan, Rivals' top-ranked center recruit in 2007, has decided to leave Oklahoma for parts unknown; and UCLA quarterback Chris Forcier -- who, apparently lost in the Bruins' QB shuffle, announced he would transfer at the start of the week and was reportedly looking at Ball State and Purdue -- will return to UCLA, after all, and give wide receiver a try.

• Why hello, NRA. Would you like some cookies to go with your mounting rage? There must be more to the story than this, there must be. But for the time being, it appears backup Northwestern guard Jeff Radek was kicked off the team for possessing a BB gun. This isn't even a university issue -- it's ... municipal:

Evanston Police arrested Weinberg freshman Jeffrey W. Radek of Bobb Hall, 2305 Sheridan Road, on Monday for having a BB gun, authorities said.

The city of Evanston prohibits the possession of any "air rifle," which includes BB guns, air guns, spring guns and pellet guns, Evanston Police Department Cmdr. Tom Guenther said.

Somebody called police when they saw Radek with the gun, Guenther said.

For comment, we turn to Evanston's favorite son and Northwestern's most famous alum, standing by:

On Saturday night (USC alumnus and TrojanWire legend) Will Ferrell stars in his first HBO special, a live, 90-minute performance of his Broadway show, You're Welcome America. A Final Night with George W. Bush (Saturday, March 14th 9 p.m. ET/PT).

Tune in and enjoy "cowboy" Bush, "flight suit" Bush and "suit" Bush. The show examines Bush's childhood, the Yale years, his run as co-owner of the Texas Rangers and his term as President of the United States.

''Bush'' recalls the time his oiled-up mom, Barbara, tossed boulders aside when the clan was trapped in an abandoned mine.

Funny is Officially Dead

If you're in the world of sports, what ever you do, don't try and be funny. Just don't do it! Sports is no home for humor. I'm talking to you, LeBrons! And sorry, Chris Bosh, but you're out too! Will Ferrell...shame on you! You just can't do it any more, because the people at UCLA are getting confused. Believe it or not, the simpletons in Brentwood are too naive to understand something as complex as a "joke". It's a serious problem. And this problem goes all the way up to the top: Rick Neuheisel

As reported by Gary Klein of the LA Times, the hilarious Brennan Carroll 'mic'd up" video has been pulled off youtube after a barrage of negative criticism. The video, which was originally well-received, shows Carroll the younger, supervising the walk-on football tryouts at USC. During the four-minute video, Carroll puts on a bit of a show, his performance teetering between the serious and the absurd. At one point Brennan shouts:

"Whistle! Whistle!" Brennan turns to the camera. "I don't have a whistle, so I just shout whistle!"

But apparently that was enough to send Rick Neuheisel's brain into a downward spiral. We're lucky he didn't start a pledge drive to try and fund USC's whistle shortage. What Neuheisel did allegedly do, however, was push "the video to [UCLA] recruits because he thought it reflected negatively on USC's program."

Weak-end box office

All those paper fans featuring the head of Will Ferrell that were distributed at the Galen Center the past two weekends could not rescue Will Farrell's new movie, ``Semi-Pro'' from a disappointing opening. The movie took in $15.3 million, about $10 million less than expected.
``Will Ferrell is always a draw and audiences love him. But this particular weekend is not quite as strong as his earlier efforts," said box-office guru Paul Dergarabedian, who is a USC graduate like Ferrell.

Semi-OT: Will Ferrell Battles Meredith Vieira & Nate Robinson To Game of Hoops

Semi-OT because of Will's alumnus status and affiliation with the football program. Man, I miss NBA on NBC, the theme song brings back so many memories. No one can top John Tesh!

Also here's another classic Will Ferrell post from nearly a year back.
