In other notable transfer news: Jason Hannan, Rivals' top-ranked center recruit in 2007, has decided to leave Oklahoma for parts unknown; and UCLA quarterback Chris Forcier -- who, apparently lost in the Bruins' QB shuffle, announced he would transfer at the start of the week and was reportedly looking at Ball State and Purdue -- will return to UCLA, after all, and give wide receiver a try.

Evanston Police arrested Weinberg freshman Jeffrey W. Radek of Bobb Hall, 2305 Sheridan Road, on Monday for having a BB gun, authorities said.

The city of Evanston prohibits the possession of any "air rifle," which includes BB guns, air guns, spring guns and pellet guns, Evanston Police Department Cmdr. Tom Guenther said.

Somebody called police when they saw Radek with the gun, Guenther said.

As reported by Gary Klein of the LA Times, the hilarious Brennan Carroll 'mic'd up" video has been pulled off youtube after a barrage of negative criticism. The video, which was originally well-received, shows Carroll the younger, supervising the walk-on football tryouts at USC. During the four-minute video, Carroll puts on a bit of a show, his performance teetering between the serious and the absurd. At one point Brennan shouts:

"Whistle! Whistle!" Brennan turns to the camera. "I don't have a whistle, so I just shout whistle!"

But apparently that was enough to send Rick Neuheisel's brain into a downward spiral. We're lucky he didn't start a pledge drive to try and fund USC's whistle shortage. What Neuheisel did allegedly do, however, was push "the video to [UCLA] recruits because he thought it reflected negatively on USC's program."

Semi-OT because of Will's alumnus status and affiliation with the football program.  Man, I miss NBA on NBC, the theme song brings back so many memories.  No one can top John Tesh!
