What's even harder than losing?

Rory MacDonald, TrojanWire

It's admitting that Bill Plaschke is pretty dead-on in his assesment of how USC blew it.

The only reason Plaschke isn't the worst sports columnist annually is because Skip Bayless is still employed. Anyone that would refer to the Griffin pick as "preventable" is either severely deluded or a complete idiot. In Plaschke's case I'd vote all of the above. He should stick to polemics rather than apologia. Atleast then I wouldn't have to read him scolding Leinart for being wrong then watch him waste 500 words explaining why Leinart was actually right.

If USC was better than Texas, they would have won the game.

But they weren't.

I thought the beginning of the article was great, but then it degenerated into mindlessness. It is easy to make excuses for getting beat. Had USC won the game, Texas would have written about an interception that should have been given to them, missed XP, missed field goal, careless fumbles, bad spots, blah, blah, blah,...

Get over it. It was a great game and Texas can walk tall for the rest of the year. They beat an GREAT USC team.
