TrojanWire on ESPN

Kyle Bunch, TrojanWire

Darren Rovell of ESPN has written a story on Three-Pete, in which they quote our own Kyle Bunch and recount TrojanWire's run-in with Pat Riley's attorneys.

So in between Christmas presents and another round of egg nog, check us out over at ESPN.com.

I was under the impression that the general media spin was very anti-Riley? I expected this piece to rip Slicky McGee way harder!

I guess we'll leave that up to Kobe and Phil to do on the court today.

But there's no way that greaser should get off so easily with he "donates most the proceeds to charity"

Unless the money ironically went into a fund to ressurect some sanity to laws regarding intellectual property, I will NEVER license my THREE-PETE design from Pat Riley.

People do not own ideas, let alone descriptive phrases, colors or words. New ideas are just a combination of previous ideas. Original ideas can't even be comprehended by others.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

oh and i am a firm believer in real property rights. ones that stimulate private innovation. and everyone else benefits. i fail to see how anyone is benefitting by preventing people from freely building upon previously existing ideas.

I think that it is just crazy that Riley is complaining about a term, but I guess it really doesn't matter because USC is only going for their 2nd straight title. The 2003 BCS Champs was LSU or has the media forgotten that. I submit this in hopes that one of the USC pinheads will stand up and stop the biggest mis-conception ever in College athletic from being tagged to their university.

Posted by: BigT at December 27, 2005 12:55 PM

Big T, the pinheads you need to talk to are the Associated Press, who consider the Trojans to be the ONLY champion from the 2003 season.

They don't even recognize LSU as a co-champion.

See it's those backwood out of touch idiots in major denial about the success of USC's national title, streaks, and dominance. Truthfully they must turn off the set when they here what's going on in the world when it doesn't suit them. Clearly we're dealing with sub-par intelligence.

Posted by: Big Guns at December 28, 2005 07:48 AM

Out of touch idiots? You must be talking about the media, because the last time I checked college football has agree to determine its National Champion using the BCS system. In 2003 the BCS champion was LSU not USC. If college football made a commitment to using the BCS to determine the Nat'l Champ then it must stick with it, and not allow the media to select a different champion just because it doesn't like who won. USC is a great team, but they are going for their second straight BCS Title and that is the only Nat'l Champion that should be recognized in College football. A perfect solution would be for the 6 Majors, Notre Dame and the rest of college football to pull their hands out of their wallets and devise a playoff to determine the Nat'l Champion. If you can't agree with that Big Guns then you are the idiot.

Posted by: BigT at December 28, 2005 09:20 AM

No, BigT--you're the idiot. You're arguing with a bunch of SC fans, on an SC site, about something that NO ONE in the major media agrees with you on.

ESPN, CBS, ABC--they're all talking about SC's attempt to win a third title.

But you're gonna lead a campaign against all of that, and start it HERE?

If you really have this much time to waste, then perhaps you should take your campaign to the streets--or just somewhere that anyone gives a shit what you think.

Because it ain't here.

For the record, thanks to BigT for making us more $$$. Everytime you come back and argue your lame point, you help pay for our Rose Bowl tickets.

We'll be thinking of you when we win our third straight National Championship on January 4.

out of touch pussies! cry, cry, cry is that the best you guys can do? go sit with some acc and sec crabs and cry some more.

Posted by: Big Guns at December 28, 2005 11:03 PM

How am I paying for more Rose Bowl tickets for USC? Oviously I have proved my point by you getting personal in your arguements and avoiding the facts. You sound like a SNL skit w/ the Superfans.... Trojans vs. Hurrican Ditka.. winner Tro-Jans. Pull your head out of your asses and smell Bevo's shit. Hook 'em Horns. Go Big XII!

Posted by: BigT at December 31, 2005 10:05 PM

T--you're not making any sense, and you're not adddressing our point that NO ONE in the nation outside of Baton Rouge agrees with you.

And you're paying for our Rose Bowl tickets by returning to our site--we make $$$ for every page you click on. Every time you come back and fail to make a point, we get more money.

Again--please, keep trying! We're going to post all your comments after the game for everyone's amusement. You're gonna be famous, dude!

It gets better: even the NCAA calls us 2-time defending National Champions...
