Trojans Make Anteater Stew

Dwight Lewis (18 pts, 7 rebounds) and Taj Gibson (17 pts, 6 rebounds) didn't miss a step in Saturday's game against the Irvine Anteaters, winning their first home opener since Tim Floyd took the reigns as head coach four years ago. Hackett was solid with 10 pts, 5 assists and 3 steals, and touted freshman DeMar DeRozan played good team ball with 14 pts and 3 rebounds in his Trojan debut as USC went on to defeat Irivine, 78 to 55.
