Trojan Temptress: Erica Clift

She's got the brains. She's got the body. And she's definitely got the moves. To follow up on our Trojan Fly Girls post, here's a former member of the USC dance squad that's taking her degree, and her moves, to the next level. Meet Erica Clift. While taking classes at USC to earn her bachelor's degree in health promotion and disease prevention, Erica performed as a dancer for the Fly Girls. Erica went on to receive her masters in public health from the University of Illinois-Chicago, and later became a Health Resources and Service Administration Scholar working in the HIV/AIDS Bureau.
It was in 2007, while she was working at the HRSA, that she met her toughest task...try-outs to become a Washington Redskins Cheerleader.

Erica, who had danced nearly her entire life, pushed to make the Redskins squad last season. Making the team was yet another great accomplishment in her already successful career. As quoted on Erica's Redskins' cheerleader bio:
"It is truly a blessing to have a successful and fulfilling career while dancing with so many talented, smart, beautiful women. Now I am able to give back to the community not only through my work in public health, but by doing what I love: dancing, performing and meeting new people."
With her rookie year now under her belt, look for Erica on the sidelines in 2008. And when she can't dance any more? She'll be making vital improvements to public health. It's a win-win situation. But does she still remember the Trojan family that helped shape her into who she is today? To answer, I'll just jot down a line taken directly from her Redskins bio: Fight on, Trojans!
