Rifling through fullback options like Maurice Clarett in the vodka aisle of a liquor store, will Pete Carroll find some of the Goose in Thomas Williams?
It worked while it lasted for Ryan Powdrell -- a linebacker converted to fullback.
"We're continuing to look for a physical presence at that spot and he's tough," Trojans coach Pete Carroll said. "He understands a lot and he's picking stuff up fast."
There's no denying Thomas Williams' toughness, so as long as he can add some soft hands, giving Booty a nice option to throw to out of the backfield, he will become yet another weapon for USC.
