Sanchez Cleared

From KNBC-4 in Los Angeles:
LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles County prosecutors have declined to file charges against USC freshman quarterback Mark Sanchez, who was arrested in April in connection with an alleged sexual assault.
Prosecutors cited insufficient evidence against the 19-year-old athlete.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Sanchez, a graduate of Mission Viejo High School, redshirted during the 2005 season and is second on the team's depth chart behind John David Booty heading into the upcoming season.
Sanchez was arrested on suspicion of committing sexual assault at the Cardinal Gardens apartment complex near campus, said Officer Jason Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department. "According to investigators, a female USC student alleged that she was sexually assaulted at 12:30 a.m.," Lee said.

I just love the NCAA - where students are presumed and treated as guilty until proven innocent. Charges aren't even filed yet Sanchez was suspended based upon nothing but an allegation.

What about the $20,000 bond his parents had to sacrifice? They might be doing alright in Mission Viejo, but $20,000 that shouldn't have left the checking account in the first place still hurts!
