Sagarin ranks Pac-10 tops

Rory MacDonald, TrojanWire

MIT mathematician, Jeff Sagarin, ranks the Pac-10 the best conference in college football, again.

With the exception of USC, the Pac-10 has gotten off to a slow start; it doesn't even have any meaningful out-of-conference games the rest of the 2006 season except USC vs ND, UCLA vs ND and Stanford vs ND. And Notre Dame just took a giant shit against Michigan.

But even Stanford, the Pac-10 perennial bottom feeder, is capable of beating a top-ranked team.

The SEC on the other hand...

I believe that no other conference has a group as good as the SEC's top four of LSU, Auburn, Florida and Georgia. But I also believe that no other major conference has a bottom as bad as South Carolina, Kentucky, Vandy, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
