Rumors of Oddjack's demise have been greatly exaggerated
Seems the reports (our own included) that Oddjack was toast were slightly off--while the site is no longer part of the Gawker family, it is live and still being posted to regularly.
Rather than shudder the site, Gawker Media sold it in December for an undisclosed sum to a company who has since taken the domain under private registration (meaning we can't figure anything out from the WHOIS lookup). Additionally, there are no credits on the site as of Jan. 1, 2006--so we're not totally sure who's driving this ship.
To recap--Nick Denton sold Oddjack.com and all of its old content, and the site up and being updated 3-5 times a day (with some moderately entertaining sports gambling and Las Vegas-focused posts).
That's all we got. If you know anything more and want to fill in some blanks for us, we'd be much obliged.
