Revving up the Miami hype machine

Kyle Bunch, TrojanWire

Ok, we knew that as soon as the sporting world ate their Christmas feasts (aka the Shaq-Kobe game) that the next big ticket on the horizon would be the BCS Championship game.  We figured that we'd see all kinds of hype this week.

But the season-long masters of hyperbole, MSNBC, have far exceeded our wildest expectations with their first Orange Bowl hype volley--suggesting today that the game's USC-Oklahoma matchup could prove to be the greatest college football game ever played.

Talk about premature exaggeration.  Let's save this sort of ballyhoo for the day or so before the game....at this rate, MSNBC is going to have to play up some sort of Jason White-Matt Leinart duel (with pistols, naturally) in order to outdo this first salvo.
