The VIZIO Top Value Performer Award recognizes the player whose on-field performance most exceeds the value of his contract.

Cassel, who earned just over $500,000 this season, responded with All-Pro numbers passing for more than 3,600 yards and 21 touchdowns in leading the Patriots to 11 wins.

He won 42% of the vote — beating Houston’s Steve Slaton, Denver’s Brandon Marshall, Tampa’s Antonio Bryant and Green Bay’s Nick Collins.

The player whose play most exceeds the value of his contract, and he poses with the trophy? They should call it the CHUMP award.
