Hackett Healing; Possible for ASU

Devon Pollard, TrojanWire

USC guard Daniel Hackett, who injured his hip in the opening minutes against Arizona, may be back on the court as soon as Saturday night in time to take on the Arizona State Sun Devils. In an attempt to keep the ball from going out of bounds this past Thursday, Hackett dove to the floor, landing in obvious pain. The team first feared he suffered a chipped pelvis or broken rib. After the x-rays came back negative, the injury was diagnosed as a nasty hip pointer.

Hackett is a major playmaker for the Trojans, and although only a Sophomore, he adds a great deal of maturity to this very young team. His injury was a definite setback in the Trojans 80-69 loss to the Wildcats.
