Ed Orgeron

Long overdue props to the man with the mustache. Pat Ruel has groomed offensive line juggernauts Ryan Kalil, Deuce Lutui, Sam Baker, Fred Matua and Winston Justice.
His draw is comparable to that of Ed Orgeron and has helped him win many recruits outside his position.
Possibly something that Carroll rubbed off on him:
"Pete's like a beautiful woman," Ruel said after taking the job. "The closer you get, you better look out. He is very charismatic. He can smile and make you feel like a million dollars."
Everybody should be feeling like a million bucks if the Golden Ruel can get Jeff Byers and company opening those truck-sized holes we saw against Nebraska last year.

You think only players get recruited at the Senior Bowl? Think again. Glenn Guilbeau of the Gannett News Service is reporting that Ed Orgeron has been hired as the new defensive line coach to the New Orleans Saints.
"He comes very well recommended from a lot of people," Saints general manager Mickey Loomis said.
Orgeron, USC's former recruiting coordinator and D-line coach helped form the likes of Sedrick Ellis, Lawrence Jackson and Keith Rivers into the super-star players they are today.

That noise you hear is Ed Orgeron speaking at SEC Media days, where he’s just finished up a booming and “optimistic” rundown of the Ole Miss Rebels, all the while winning the Al.com pool for “most likely to fry our audio equipment.” Mock at your own risk. Women, tackling dummies, lots of 40ish women doing deep squats: it all sounds like one of Carl Spackler’s more feverish sexual fantasies, but no! we say–it’s the Ole Miss women’s football camp, yet another one of those marginal offseason fundraisers that fill the long, empty, desolate, but now only 68 days or so until college football season begins. And...
