By Mark, TributeToTroy
Gary Klein, Los Angeles Times Today’s Rose Bowl game against Illinois marks the final day of their USC careers, but there will be little if any break in competition for Trojans players who will enter the NFL draft. Defensive end Lawrence Jackson plans to enjoy his final time on the field with teammates. The next phase begins Wednesday… continue... more »

Whew!!! We're finally rid of ol' JD One-Note (mi-mi-mi-mi-me), the non-team player who told coach Carroll that he and his broken finger were better than the 2004 Parade MVP All-American Mark Sanchez (who was told by Joe Theisman after the Notre Dame game, "You were a great quarterback"), and on a par with Bret Favre!!! What BS -- JD, you look like a deer standing in wet concrete, in the headlights, when a lineman chases you down, ending up with over 100 minus yards rushing (while Sanchez had about 100 PLUS yards in only a few games -- some guys can scramble and get rid of the ball effectively)!! Finally, we'll get to look at 2 or 3 quarterbacks worthy of the SC tradition! AND, HOPEFULLY, Sarkisian will open up and call some games worthy of Sanchez and Mustain! Sarkisian's boring play calling early to mid-season let the other coaches plan their defenses, and, to top it all off, with 7 minutes and 44 seconds to go in the Oregon game, needing 2 touchdowns, a PUNT WAS CALLED, with only 7 yards needed for the "greatest team of the century"!!! Then, they continually blame Sanchez for the interception, when he was left with only 5 minutes to score the 2 touchdowns, and the defense keyed on his passing. Oh, well, there went a 13-0, No. 1 ranking, season! FIGHT ON -- NEXT YEAR IT WILL BE 13-0 (OR 14-0 IF THE EXTRA PLAYOFF GAME IS INSTITUTED), AND A GREAT NO. 1 RANKING!!!! FIGHT ON!!!!

wow you sound like a spoiled little bitch. Get off the Sanchez and Mustain band wagon, and show some support for the whole team instead.

That great "whole team" will all be on the Sanchez/Mustain band wagon, and it looks like they'll have one Hell of a great ride next season -- IF the offensive coordinator gives them some loose reins and lets them do what they're capable of doing, which is more than any other team in the country -- how 'bout some more mis-direction, reverses, pitchouts, and throwing to receivers already in forward motion. Sanchez showed a lot of leadership and scrambling skills, but everyone in the whole country knew what was coming next, because of the unjustifiably conservative play calling when they put him in. Ol' "3-and-out" JD ("I was 19-3, that's pretty good" was his attitude the whole season, without giving the rest of the team the credit that they deserved) couldn't scramble like Sanchez, and the pilot of the MetLife blimp flying over Wichita, Kansas, could look over to the West Coast and see JD sticking his hand out (for what seemed like 5 seconds) to hand off, which everyone on the other teams's defense could also see, and they stopped a lot of plays before they had a chance to develop; I kept waiting for him to give some credit to the whole team, like the great players on the team did -- Sedrick would hardly answer a question about how great he was, but would turn it around and talk about all the other great players, and how the team did. It'll be hard to wait for next season, to watch the whole team, and I wouldn't be adverse to seeing alternating quarterbacks (it's been done before at SC, with Nelson/Beathard (they won a Rose Bowl against Wisconsin)). FIGHT ON !!!!!

JDB came off that injury, led us to a 6th straight pac-10 title, and another Rose Bowl. While Sanchez on the other hand already has a loss on his resume in 3 starts. I'm not taking anything away from Sanchez, he's going to be a great QB at USC for sure, but he has proved nothing yet, same thing with Mustain. So shut up and quit hyping your Sanchez/Mustain bandwagon as if they're the only 2 important players on the team. Infact, you shouldn't even be calling yourself a fan at all. A true fan would support everyone involved. EVERYONE! Unfortunately you don't know what "everyone" means so whatever.
