Double-D Still On Course
USC Basketball fans as of right now, this moment, right here...you have nothing to worry about...yet. DeMar DeRozan is still on course to become a Trojan. Doubts regarding DeRozan's freshman commitment to 'SC were raised after the Mayo-Guillory payola scandal broke. If USC was slapped with a post-season ban, DeRozan said he would reconsider his college choice. But as Adam Rose quotes reports on All Things Trojan, everything is so far so good. Key phrase being: so far.
"As of right now, nothing's happened with the [NCAA investigation], so I'm going to stay committed to the school," DeRozan said during an interview at the Pangos All-American Camp on the practice courts inside the Galen Center.
The 6-foot-6 Compton High shooting guard averaged 30.6 points his senior year, and is projected as the No. 3 pick in the 2009 draft by nbadraft.net.
