The Indy Star writes:

The future for college football coaches? It's their Web sites.

It is a rather nice website Mr. Meyer has himself. Houston Nutt's coming (pun) in at a close 2nd though.

But what we'd really like to see is well-done fake sites. Here's a start...

Lloyd Carr's - lovableloser.com
Bobby Bowden's - ifyoulovecokewhorescomeplayforme.com
Jim Harbaugh's - iwishiwasstillrelevant.org
Ron Zook's - waterskiwonderland.com
Karl Dorrell's - droopydog.com
Jeff Tedford's - cyberbears.com (already brimming with gay porn)

College football has seen future: It's on coaches' Web sites [Indy Star via Student Body Right]

My name is Sandra. My daughter and mother suffer from migraine headaches. My daughter is 12 and misses 20 to 30 days of school a year from migraines. In February a friend of my moms asked me to take a all natural fruit drink called MonaVie. I decided to try it just because my family does not eat the amount of fruit a day your supposed to have. Supposedly in 2 ounces a day you receive all that you need. We started taking it and since then she hasn't had a migraine since. Also my mother has not either and has not had even a headache since. I know of other people with the same condition who now take MonaVie and it has helped them as well. I AM NOT A SALES PERSON! I stay in tune with the events of Mona Vie and I believe the Red Sox pitcher is taking MonaVie.

Mr Myers; I would like to know where I could get a football shirt number 15 signed by one of the players on the Gator team. I bought the shirt for my son in the nursing home in Gainesville. He is leagaly blind and in a wheel chair. He is a Gator fan and if he can not watch the game he listens. He is 47 years old. He thinks Tebow is the greatest player. I am a Gator fan from way back. Please reply.

Hello Mr. Meyer! Iam writing to let you know, in case he's not on your radar, about Todd Muse. He's a young man from St. John, Louisiana who will be the starting tailback for the East St. John Wildcats. I saw him play at Lutcher Highschool up the road before he transferred. He's 5'6" 1/2, about 175 to 185lbs, has a 4.3 forty time, has just reached 275lbs in his bench press, and (heading into his senior season) is carrying a 3.6 GPA. He is as exceptionally powerful as he is shifty with his running style. He reminds me a lot of Warrick Dunn and Brandon James. He is very much under control when he runs and is not known for fumbling. He has also spent time as a Free Saftey, Punt Returner, and is a star on the track.
He is very strong in character. This I credit to his parents (I'm just a friend of theirs). He has no criminal record and is not known for night owl activities. Education has been pushed to the forefront of his life. He indicated to his father, Author Brooks, that he does not want to stay in state for college. During the UF's 2006 National title game, he also said that he thinks that he wants to go to Florida. His father says he may try a school in either Alabama, Texas, or Florida --championship states. Arkansas has contacted him already.
I hope you all could find a place for him as a gator. I'm telling you, he's good. If you recruit him, he's probably yours.
***I think his dad is thinking of moving to Orlando in the future! ****

Mr. Meyer,

I am a graduate of the U of F in 1973 and it never ceases to amaze me that we seem to always hire pompus and hubris coaches.

You are a good coach and to become a great coach it goes way beyond winning and losing. Do yourself a favor, stop complaining about simple things.

Example of one is you complained about the number of plays each team gets this year compared to past years. All teams have the same playing field. Your problem was you were not prepared for the Rebels and lately have been out coached in many games.

So win the rest of your games and win the National Championship. Stop whinning dude...

Posted by: James H. Apple at September 27, 2008 01:12 PM

Coach, you made some really bad decisions Saturday. I have to blame you for our loss.... not the team... not Tebow. After getting stuffed on the 4th and short early in the game, you called the very same play when we needed to stay alive with time running out. EVERYONE.... EVERYONE ... knew what to expect ! You absolutely have to start making better calls. Just think about how the 3 point early field goal could have changed the game. We pay TOO MUCH for these types of poor coaching decisions. Vern Stokes Class of '66.

Posted by: Vern Stokes at September 28, 2008 07:19 AM

Coach,
In 2005 you cried in the press conference after the loss in Death Valley. Last year Tebow cried on the field in Death Valley....did not even make it to the press conference before crying. I want to know who you predict will cry this year in the Swamp after the loss and part two of my question is will they cry on the field or will they make it to the press conference to cry? Thanks. GEAUX TIGERS!

What a cocksucker Urban the traitor is. It is too bad that they didn't lose so Utah could have kicked Florida's ass. Turdbowl is so over-rated it is pathetic. He won't even make the NFL because he is just an option QB. The are going to get crushed in the championship game.

Dear Coach Urban Meyer,

I have been trying for years now to be able to come to the SWAMP for the Flroida/ Florida State game. It is very difficult with one income coming in. I have been a huge gator fan since I was a little girl it has always been a dream of mine to have that experience of the SWAMP. I would really love to go to the Florida/ Florida State game this year with my husband, my little gir as well as to bring my brother and sister-in-law (who are in the US Air Force) to the game. Is there anyway you can point in the right direction to find decent seats for lesser money, or is there any possibilty you would be able to help me out and help make my dream come true? Thank you for taking the time to read this. God Bless!

Thanks for the show of support. We'd of course love to have you and your new one and your husband and your brother and -- indeed -- your entire family. Please look on CraigsList for tickets. That's where the tickets are. That's where everything is these days. You only have to remember that persistence pays off.
Good luck to you and John Smith bless, Urban

Dear coach meyer,
I am writing this in hopes against great odds that you will read this. You know my husband Ray Hosner. The head football coach of the Pine View Panthers in St. George, UT. You will have to agree that he is a pretty amazing guy and has dedicated his life to building great young men through the lesson taught through football. He has sacrificed alot to be a hight school football coach because that is where he felt he needed to be. Ray is turning 40 and I want to do something special for him. One day we where talking and I asked him if he could spend the day learning form any coach who would it be, and he said you! I would love to arange for him to fly out and spend a day watching, learning, and talking football with you during spring ball. If you think this would at all be posable please contact me. I would just love to be able to give Ray this gift. With sincer Hope Cary Hosner

Dear All,

I guess that the folks comment here because somehow they know that I read this blog. In fact, I am a voracious reader, and I like to read the enemy's blogs because they help to keep me sharp. It's one of the things I do to try to get an edge.

I realize that I may stand alone among D1 coaches in believing this, but I strongly believe that there is much to be learned from the fans. Unfortunately, many fans get too excited so you have to filter. I have discovered that one of the best ways to filter the good from the bad is to look at blogs like this one. Last season, I actually discovered a very good idea about how to line up Percy Harvin on one of the Michigan blogs. It was an idea we used in the game against Bama.

To all of you young recruits: work hard and perform and then don't worry, we'll find you.

Best to all, Urban Meyer

Hi Coach Meyer, hopefully you get this message. My name is Frederick Gates, and I am a resident of Charlotte, NC. I am e-mailing you in reference to my son Evan Michael Gates. He is currently a rising Freshman, yes Freshman @ Hopewell High School here in Charlotte NC,(Huntersville, NC actual location of the school). I am just like any proud father who likes to boast about there son, but I know that I have something special here. Currently he is participating in there summer conditioning program @ the school. My son and I had talked about possibly going out for Varsity but decided against it but I think that his coach, with out warning may be thinking otherwise. My son and I have given this some serious thought, and we have decided that we would like to commit to your school, The University of Florida! In the past he normally played both ways, Slot Receiver/Wild Cat on Offense and Defensive Back on Defense. Currently he is playing defensive back. We've decided that we like everything about You, The University and would like to let it be KNOWN of OUR DECISION, EFFECTED NOW. Thanks, and hope to here from you soon,

Frederick

Dear all,

There is not too much that I can do for any of you on a forum like this. If you were to contact me through the proper channels perhaps we can talk about your particular situation.

Probably you might show up on our recruitment radar in which case, we'll knock on your door. If you haven't heard from us, please remember that we need students as well as athletes! We need you to hit the books and study, study, study!! If you don't get the grades, we won't be able to have you regardless of your other measurables.

Good luck to you all, Urban Meyer

Dear Mr. Meyer,

We love the Gators and have been Boosters for 46 years. My husband graduated from UF and all of my four kids went to UF too. We really bleed orange and blue. This attempt to reach you is to tell you that a product you are endorsing is not really fair to us fans. The Live Time Radio must be purchased each year or it does not work. Yes,it will still pick up Rock 104 (103.7)But the 5 channels for Live Time are no longer working. When I asked a vendor this week about it, he said we had to repurchase each year that this was the "gimmick". Do you think this $20. cost should be a "gimmick"? We do not mind buying a battery after one season, which we had to do, but not the entire radio. Are you aware of this?

Thank you. A long time fan.

Dear, Coach Meyers, there are something’s that I don't understand. The media say's that we the Gators have a receiver a problem, but I don’t think so. Here’s a suggestion why not line Demps AND Rainey in the slots, start Moody in the back field, with cooper and Thompson on the outsides. Give it a shot and let me know how it goes. Thanks………Johnny

I think it is absolutely reprehensible that you are not disciplining your thug more than you are. ONE half of ONE game? What if he would have permanently blinded him in that one eye?

You need to take a que from the University of Oregon on how to
discipline players. You don't know the definition of discipline.

You are supposed to be LEADING these young men and setting an example for them. Oh that's right...this is Florida. You ARE setting an example for them.

My word...you ought to be ashamed of yourself Mr. Meyer.

Urban

How do you look yourself in the mirror by giving a 1/2 game suspension? You ought to be ashamed of yourself for enabling your bully to keep doing business as usual. Look at New Mexico womens soccer play. She was suspended indefinitely. You exemplify all that is wrong with semi pro football (division I).

Wow.. Why are you Florida fans complaining? 2 BCS titles in 2 years and a possible 3rd. A Heisman Trophy winner and possible 2nd trophy. A devoted coach and team.. I am a HUGE Notre Dame fan.. Don't think I have to go any further.. Urban you are welcome to South Bend anytime..

Sorry.. I meant 2 BCS titles in 3 years. And now a possible 3rd in 4.. Wish we had this problem in South Bend..

Urban I will have to admit that I will never forget where I was when ESPN posted the message "Urban Meyer to Florida." I was upset beyond words. The man that could lead Notre Dame back to the promise land went to Florida. A day that is in my eyes as memorable as Pope John Paul II getting shot.. Yes I am a devoted Catholic.

But after reading your reason for Florida I could not question your motive. Family comes first. Now I am a Florida fan. Obviously not to the extent of Notre Dame but I will be rooting for you and Florida for another Heisman/BCS Championship.. I wish you luck Urban and I leave you with this one thing -- PLEASE COME TO NOTRE DAME!!!

Coach Meyer... I hope you took notice that the coach of Alabama DID NOT run up the score on your loss... this is KIND... something you do not know as you constantly run up scores on teams. Not fair.. and Tebow is NOT a one man team even tho he is a fantastic talent... I am tired of reading 4 pages of sports about THE GATERS & TEBOW
What will you do next year... cry???? I am glad that you lost to Alabama... NO ONE IS PERFECT.

Jackie in Ocala (Senior Cit.) Personally, I am an EAGLE fan... and Andy Reid is a real gentleman coach....

I am from Cincinnati and had a cousin Urban Meyer. I had an uncle that was a Fransican Father whose parish was in Texas. My son has heard you speak at a business meeting in Pebble Beach, Fla. for Great American Insurance. He was curious as to whether we could be related. My father had eight siblings. I was raised in Norwood, Ohio and am now eighty years of age. Just curious.

Hey Coach Meyers, I reall am not a big Florida fan, buit as soon as I got word of your leaving due to illness, I really got concerned. You will be in my prayers! I hope that you can get better and I will be praying for you to be getting better!

Urban - I have 3 kids myself and I can relate with the everday glory of being a father. Nothing else like it. The difference is you have 85 other players, coaches, University and Gator Nation to support. I'm sure the preasure is unlike no other. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family Urban.. Wish you well..

PS.. Tell Mark May to stick it!!!!
