Chow Down!

Devon Pollard, TrojanWire

It was the furthest the Titans had made it since 2003. Fish-Chowder looked like it would be on the Titans menu for years to come. Still, they struggled offensively, losing to Chargers in the wild-card round of the NFL playoffs. They couldn't blame the Young quarterback that's thrown 17 interceptions to a mere 9 touchdowns. No, Jeff Fisher needed a Titan-size scapegoat to absorb the blow. Enter Norm Chow. Fire Norm Chow. Yes, the Tennessee Titans have fired offensive coordinator Norm Chow after three years with the team.

Come on Pete, show some love towards a gifted surgeon who came to well-up your team's offense when you needed him. Yes, you & Sark are a good combination. When Norm was part of the combination, you were winning national championships. Win another BCSNCG and your NFL buds will come calling to give you what you want!

With all the criticism aimed at Sark and Booty this past season, I'd say the biggest underachieving unit was the WR corps. Forget missed routes, forget overthrown balls, if Turner, Ausberry, Hazelton et al had only caught and held onto passes they dropped (in almost every game), USC would have been undefeated. Norm Chow isn't gonna fix that. Those guys need to step up next year - like they were supposed to step up THIS year.

Well said Defender, if it wasn't for Davis stepping up big time, there wouldn't be much receiving yardage on the stats at all. Yes Turner performed, but it was supposed to be his year. But on the other hand, aside from Turner, they're a very young crew for the most part. Turner needs to lead and Hazelton and Ausberry have to step up in a big way, otherwise expect a lot of screen passes to mcknight. he'll probably see more receptions than most of the receiving corps
