Carroll asks ASU to consider Sark
Dude how much does Carroll hate Norm Chow.
Carroll said he called Lisa Love, Arizona State's athletic director, to talk about Sarkisian as a replacement for Dirk Koetter, who was fired Sunday.
We heard that Chow was recruiting players away from USC when he thought he was going to get the HC job at Stanford. And even before that Carroll was trying to demote him from OC.
Norm Chow, knowing Lisa Love too, is considered a strong candidate for the HC job at ASU.
So what do you think? Deep-seeded resentment between Carroll and Chow? Carroll just looking out for USC's best interests? Or Carroll just looking out for Steve Sarkisian's interests?

Rather than having anything against Chow, I believe Pete is just looking out for his guys as any good leader would do. Don't think that Sark won't be recruiting players away from USC if he is hired as the ASU head coach. It comes with the territory.

Pete has his spotlight now and doesn't have to share it with anyone. The tiff with Norm seemed more of an ego thing with Pete, and if Norm was talking to a recruit..the only one he would've pulled was Ben Olson away from UCLA. Pete treated Norm like crap in that aspect. Pete's a great coach, but he didn't give Norm any reason as to why he was pushing him out the door, and Norm deserved more than that for helping SC to get the championships.

I'm all for Sark leaving town. 9 points against UCLA is inexcusable.

USC needs both Norm Chow and Pete for the glory days. Thinking about 1990s when USC had good defense but inefficient offense, USC football program just so-so. USC offense and quarter back need Norm Chow to reach champion level. In 2005 team, most great players still benefited from Norm Chow's coaching. See what will happen next season when young players become experienced. We do not want to see the coming of pete's Redskins era in USC program.
