After defeating CAL and Stanford last week, the Trojans (14-9, 6-5) play FUCLA (11-12, 6-5) on Sunday looking for a home sweep of all the California schools. The game will air live on FSN at 7 pm.

On January 16th the Trojans defeated the Bruins 67-46. This was the Bruins worst loss ever at Pauley Pavilion. If you want tickets for the game on Sunday, click here.

The Trojans men’s basketball team made some national news on Saturday, defeating 8th ranked Tennessee 77 – 55. North Carolina transfer Alex Stepheson was a dominant force in the upset, scoring 19 points, grabbing 15 boards and making 8-of-11 shots. Dwight Lewis finished with 21 points and Nikola Vucevic had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Charlotte transfer Mike Gerrity played his first game of the year and dished out 10 assists. The Trojans starting five scored 75 of the 77 points.

The Trojans next game is at the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu against Western Michigan on Tuesday 12/22, at 2:00 PM PT.

Alex Stepheson, the 6’9” forward transfer from UNC was denied a transfer waiver by the NCAA on Wednesday, preventing him from playing with the Trojans this season.

The 6'9" forward transferred out of North Carolina to deal with unspecified health issues facing his family.

He hoped the NCAA would reinstate his eligibility on this account; however, he failed to realize institutions only care about the interests of institutions (and not individuals). Just think of the horror universities would have to face — retaining these "amateur" athletes after they signed them.

Stepheson will redshirt this year and have 2 years of eligibility left at USC.
